Story Advice, Your Personal thoughts

I'm (still) in the process of writing an inflation story that takes place in an episode of 'House'. My question to you all is this:

Should I stick with the facts and (attempt to) make the final DDX (at least somewhat) medical [even if it is mixed-up mumbo jumbo]; OR should I just basically say "we still don't know EXACTLY why this happened, but we can fix it anyways." ?

While I want the episode to definitely have the aura of a wonka-tale, I don't want to take away from the drama that is 'House'.

What would YOU suggest?
